100 years to live

While I was listening to the radio yesterday (something I hardly ever do since most of the music that is on the radio are the same songs played over and over:)  100 years to live by Five for Fighting came on.  I  really like this song despite the fact that I do have mixed emotions when listening to it...it makes me sad because even though some people may be lucky to live to be 100 , and still have their wits and health in good condition, it still may not seem long enough.  I know that may sound greedy , especially when there are so many people who die at an early age , so many who don't make it to the age of 20 let alone 100.

There are so many things that I personally want to see and do in this life and I hope to be lucky enough to do them all.  I want to see my daughter get married, I want to have grandchildren, I want to travel the world .....and that of course if just for starters....  In the song he sings about himself and his life being lived in moments. Each age is just a moment in time...life lived in a flash.  This song really makes you stop and think just how precious life is , how you really have to take it by the horns and ride every adventure that comes your way, and in the same breath try to take the time to enjoy each and every moment, every journey, every path you choose to take, even though sometimes that may not be the right ones.

I have always had a subconscious list of things that I would like to do before my time here is through , I don't know if I will get to them all but I can try, right? I made a condensed list and hope you will share yours with me.

Rent an RV and drive cross country through all of California

Visit the Galapagos Islands

Open one of the largest no kill animal shelters and rescue all those who would be put to sleep  (this is a huge stretch since it would take a ton of money but if I won the lottery it could happen)

sit on the beaches in La Jolla, California amongst the seals - one of my most adored animals
